struggling to keep my femininity in this man’s world
spent my last weekend at white island camiguin with a sunburn to prove it. camiguin is such a gorgeous strip of sand in the northern mindanao region.
Headaches and well wishes
My head hurts. Usually I try to link the headache with my blurry eyesight. But these are not usual times. And this is not the usual headache.
My partner is leaving for a province down south. He landed a job with an advo cacy he had so longed for, a wonderful journey towards the realization and fulfilment of his spiritual desires. A chance to bring aid to where he is most needed.
My heart swells with pride as I’m writing this. He is good at his craft, satisfactory at his worst, exceptional at his best. He will do good where he is headed. This I know with such certainty as with the coming of the sun at dawn and the glimmering darkness led by the day’s dusk.
Still my head hurts. Probably from reigning in the tears I so wanted to spill. Probably from straining to keep still as I wish him well and utter my farewells.
The clock ticks, the hour glass hurries, the dawn awaits.
I shall miss him terribly.
